Snow Clothespin Fairy

This is something I thought would be fun to do and it is! And, it can be made into many different types of colors and themes.

Size 7 steel hook
Size 10 bedspread cotton thread in various colors
Wooden clothespin

Hot glue and some kind of stiffener.

Instructions

Do dress in white for the Clothespin fairy.

Snowflake Wings These wings are made one at a time without a starter ring. You will have to sew them together when complete. Makes 4 pieces.

Picot: ch 3, sl st in st just made.

Top wings: (make 2)
With light blue, ch 4, join to form a loop.
Round 1: Ch 1, (sc in loop, ch 3) 6 times, join to 1st sc.

Round 2: Sl st in next loop, ch 1, (sc, picot, sc) in each loop around, join to 1st sc.

Round 3: Sl st to next picot, ch 1, sc in picot, ch 8, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 5, skip next picot, sc in next picot, ch 5 sc in next picot, ch 13, skip next picot, sc in next picot, ch 5, join to 1st sc.

Round 4: Sl st in next loop, ch 3, 9 dc in loop to the picot, (3dc, picot, 2dc) in picot, 10 dc in the rest of the loop, 6 dc in next loop, 19 dc in next loop, 6 dc in next loop, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Finish off.

Bottom Wings: (make 2)

With light blue, ch 4, join to form a loop
Round 1: Ch 1, (sc in loop, ch 3) 6 times, join to 1st sc.

Round 2: Sl st in next loop, ch 1, (sc, picot, sc) in each loop around, join to 1st sc.

Round 3: Sl st to next picot, ch 1, sc in picot, ch 7, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 4, skip next picot, sc in next picot, ch 3, sc in next picot, ch 11, skip next picot, sc in next picot, ch 3, join to 1st sc.

Round 4: Sl st in next loop, ch 2, 7 hdc in loop to the picot, (dc, picot, dc) in picot, 8 hdc in the rest of the loop, 4 hdc in next loop, 15 dc in next loop, 4 hdc in next loop, join to 2nd ch of beg ch 2. Finish off.

Make a snowflake, I used blue size 10 thread, (like this one http://members.aol.com/SAG55/fpoint.html) to glue on the front of the dressed clothes pin.

Take a piece of the same color thread and weave in the center dc or hdc of each wing in the center and tie in a knot. Weave in the ends. Place dress on clothes pin and attach wings to back of dress and attach snowflake to front of dress.
